The uniform of the Lancashire Hussars
loosely followed that of the 11th Hussars. They were one of the few Yeomanry regiments to use Gold/Yellow lace and braiding instead of Silver/White, and were the only one to change their lace colour to comply with the order issued in 1879 by the War Office, stating that from thenceforth, only regulars would be laced gold. The order was revoked, but the change remained. |
